Guy Wright

​Guy was born to George and Mary Wright on December 11, 1888 as the second of six children. He joined the 333rd Field Artillery unit of the US Army on June 24, 1918 and was discharged on January 19, 1919. Upon returning to the family, he lived with his parents until his marriage to May Jones on November 18, 1919. They had four children. Per the 1940 Census, Guy was again living with his Mother. He passed away on November 12, 1973

333rd Field Artillery

The 333rd Field Artillery Regiment was formed on 5 August 1917 and assigned to the 161st Field Artillery Brigade, 86th Division. The regiment was sent to France but did not see action. In January and February 1919, the regiment returned to the United States and was demobilized at Camp Grant, Illinois. It was reconstituted in the Organized Reserve on 13 September 1929, assigned to the 86th Division, and allotted to the Sixth Corps Area.
