George Snowden

George was born to Frank and Mary Snowden while they lived in Missouri. From the 1900 Census, George has one older brother and two younger brothers and a sister. By 1910, George is 18 years old and living as a boarder with his father and younger brother Charles at the Frank Mass home. George married Alma Reuter on October 22, 1919 (he put his age as 33, but it should have been 27). George worked as a carpenter foreman while working in Brookings, SD for A.M. Wold (per WWI registration on June 5, 1917). Per the Master Index of Veterans, George had the rank of Private Unsg, and research provided by B. Kleinjan lists his service in the Aviation Military Ing. School in St. Paul, MN. George died on December 19, 1919 and is interred at Fairview Cemetery, White, SD. His widow, Alma, married George's older brother Harry two years after George's death.
