Henry Langner was born in November 30, 1895 in Storm Lake, IA. Census records indicate that he remained in the Iowa area for his youth and was conscripted on June 5, 1917. He then entered the service on July 29, 1918 and 6 months later he was released (February 19, 1919).
He returned to Iowa and wasted no time in marrying Coral Knapp on March 3, 1919. They moved to a farm near White, SD in 1920. They later moved to a farm near Brookings, SD in 1938 and they retired to Volga, SD in 1950. Henry and Coral had three children, Edwin (died at the age of 10), Robert, and Ruth. Coral passed away in 1973 and Henry passed away in 1985. Both are interred to Fairview Cemetery, White, SD.
