Fred King
Fred King was born to parents August and Paulina (Shulz) as third child and second son. Eventually, 6 children lived in section 12 of Afton Township. August King served as a South Dakota State Representative on the Republican ticket. He was very active civically and his picture hangs on the wall in the State Capital building.
Fred was enlisted to the military on October 1, 1918 and was a Private in the Students Training Corps. He was discharged on December 9, 1918.
Fred married Maude Boyd.
