Co L, 133rd Infantry US Army

The 133rd Infantry Regiment is an infantry regiment in the Iowa Army National Guard. It is represented by the 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, part of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division.

The 2nd Iowa Volunteer Infantry was mustered again into federal service on 2 The unit was mustered out of federal service on 15 January 1917 at Fort Des Moines, Iowa. Soon thereafter, the regiment was again called into federal service on 25 March 1917 and was drafted into federal service on 5 August 1917. It was reorganized and re-designated as the 133rd Infantry and assigned to the 34th Infantry Division on 1 October 1917.
