Harrison H. Moore
Harrison H. Moore was born on September 11, 1888 in White, SD. His parents were Henry and Sarah (Steele) Moore. Harrison was blessed to have three sisters in his life, Elizabeth, Frances, and Grace. He lived his entire life in White, South Dakota. After he graduation from the White Public School System he attended Business College in Mankato, Minnesota.
Harrison (Hank) completed his draft registration in June of 1917 (age 28) and was placed in Company C of the 210 Field Signal Battalion. After the war, he returned to White and married Alma Louise Harms on August 15, 1923. The Moore's lived in White and Hank owned and operated the White Electric Power Plant. Later in life he owned an managed several farms and made it possible for families to establish themselves in farming. Hank was also an electrician, a member of the Higgins Jessen Post 88 of the American Legion (he served as the first commander), a member of the fire department, alderman on the town board, and also was very active in the Methodist Church.
Hank and Alma had four children: Eleanor, Irma, Marvin, and Robert. As a family they enjoyed hunting and fishing, ball games, card parties and movies. Hank passed away May 30, 1960 and is interred in Fairview Cemetery, White, SD.

Co C 210 Field Signal Battalion
A signal battalion in the US Army is responsible for establishing and maintaining communication systems for the command. This includes setting up and operating telephone and radio networks, computer systems, and other types of electronic equipment. Signal battalions are typically made up of four to six companies, and each company is responsible for a different aspect of communications and information systems support.
